Welcome to the official website of First Reformed Presbyterian Church! Formerly the Associate Reformed Church of GR, our church moved to the RPCNA  in 2008 and changed our name. On this website you will find vital information about our church, as well as dynamic content including sermons, news, and event information.

First Reformed Presbyterian Church began as the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Fellowship, with the formation of a steering committee on February 8, 2000. First meetings were held on Wednesday, February 9, and Sabbath, February 13; and we were organized as a congregation of the ARP Church by Northeast Presbytery on Wednesday, May 24, 2000. On Friday, October 26, 2007, the Associate Reformed Church of Grand Rapids was received by transfer into Great Lakes/Gulf Presbytery, RPCNA, as First Reformed Presbyterian Church, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

An invitation to unite with our church: Membership is open to all who profess faith in Christ and accept the doctrines and principles of the RP Church of North America as agreeable to and founded on the Word of God, together with their children. If you believe the Lord is leading you to unite with us, please speak to our minister or any other member of our church session.

The Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America dates to May 1798, when the Reformed Presbytery of America was constituted in Philadelphia, PA, to serve the congregations of “Covenanter” immigrants coming from Scotland and Ireland, and settling in various parts of North America in those days. As this body grew, it was divided into three presbyteries under the authority of the Reformed Presbyterian Synod, constituted in Philadelphia on May 24, 1809. At present the RP Synod comprises 76 churches, 4 missions and 7 presbyteries, in the USA, Canada, and Japan.
