Nathan Eshelman Sustained!

Our seminarian, Nathan Eshelman, traveled to California last week to complete his finals trials for ordination. Yesterday the news reached Grand Rapids that Pacific Presbytery voted unanimously to sustain this final examination for ordination, clearing the way for Nathan to be ordained and installed as pastor of the Los Angeles RP Church. We congratulate Nathan and Lydia, wishing them God’s blessing as they begin a new chapter in their life and work together.

We will bid a formal farewell to the Eshelmans, D.V., at the fellowship luncheon following morning worship or (and Lord’s Supper) on Sabbath, January 4, 2009. We also hope to have Nathan fill our pulpit the following Sabbath, Jan. 11. Pacific Presbytery has scheduled Nathan’s ordination for Saturday, Feb. 14, D.V., in Los Angeles.
